Founded in 1994, Design West Technologies (DWT) is a nontraditional defense contractor with the expertise and technical capabilities to design new systems or develop and implement enhancements to existing products through comprehensive testing and analysis.
Vertically integrated from R&D to final assembly and testing, we offer a unique combination of electrical, chemical, and mechanical product development for weapons and CBRN systems with CNC machining, injection molding, robotic welding, assembly, design, testing, and engineering capabilities.
Certifications and Testing
Located in Southern California, DWT has a facility near John Wayne Airport (SNA) with over 60,000 sq. ft. of AS9100D/ISO 9001-2015 and ITAR certified manufacturing space.
DWT has assembled a broad knowledge base in manufacturing and assembling products, especially for government contracts. We are well-versed in projects that require a high degree of precision, automation, and concurrent engineering. Our full-fledged analytical testing lab is equipped with advanced testing instruments and measurement devices plus self-designed testing systems, all meeting MIL-STD-810 test requirements.

DWT is an electro-mechanical systems manufacturer capable of managing many military contracts and is a US Department of Defense Contract Manufacturer. DWT has superior past performance on US government contracts involving weapons systems and CBRN (chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear) systems.
Specialties
DWT also specializes in CBRN products. The CBRN Systems division includes chemical detection and CBRN filtration product lines. Design West Technologies' laboratory is certified by the US Government for CBRN filtration testing.
